The AIDS Committee of Windsor provides support and education services for people at risk of, living with, or affected by HIV/AIDS in Essex and Kent counties. About Us The AIDS Committee of Windsor (ACW) is a registered charity that provides support, education and outreach services for people living with, affected by, or at-risk of HIV/AIDS. Our services span the Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent counties through two offices located in downtown Windsor and downtown Chatham respectively. Since 1988, the ACW has evolved and diversified to address the emerging needs of our community. Our committed volunteers, board and staff work very hard to offer direct services to over 1,000 people annually as well as to deliver education programs to community members and service providers working with populations vulnerable to HIV. Greater Involvement The ACW proudly stands in solidarity with The Ontario Accord. We affirm that Greater Involvement of People with HIV (GIPA) concerns us all who live with, work in, and are affected by, HIV/AIDS. GIPA therefore engages people living with HIV/AIDS and their allies in a culture of inclusivity intended to foster an expanding and inclusive approach that embraces HIV Positive individuals in all their diversity and circumstances and includes those affected by HIV/AIDS and all allies.
