Our Health Centre program provides medical treatment and counselling. Our services include methadone treatment and personalized counselling for people struggling with addiction to opiates, as well as education, treatment and support for people living with hepatitis C or HIV/AIDS, an HIV Primary Care Clinic for anyone living with HIV, free one minute HIV Point of Care testing, Mens Wellness HIV and STI testing evenings, overdose prevention, etc. Harm reduction services such as condoms, information and counselling on disease and sexually transmitted infections, prevention and management, and safer drug use are available. We also provide Take Home Naloxone overdose prevention training and supplies. The Positive Wellness Program offers programming for people who are HIV+ and/or hepatitis C+. Programming includes: short-term, solution-focused counselling for PWP members, their families and friends (by appointment and on a drop-in basis, advocacy and support with issues regarding income assistance, health care, employment, housing, and legal matters - support around social, emotional and practical needs, including up-to-date information about disease management, harm reduction, safer sex, and health and wellness promotion - referrals to appropriate community resources, professionals, agencies and institutions - Persons With Disability status application assessment and assistance. Our Health Promotion and Community Development provides information and education workshops about HIV & HCV safer sex, HIV testing or transmission, STDs and harm reduction. Educational materials promoting improved health, safer drug use, safer sex and more are available to the public at our office.
