Testing Professional Practice and Accountability The Professional Practice and Accountability Department is staffed by the Chief Nursing Officer, Manager of Professional Practice and Accountability, Social Determinants of Health Nurses, School Health Liaison, and the Healthy Babies Healthy Children RPN. The purpose of this department is to provide support across the Health Unit in addressing quality professional practice and organizational accountability as well as working with other Health Unit departments and the community in addressing the social determinants of health and school health. The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit works with residents of Northumberland and Haliburton counties and the City of Kawartha Lakes to prevent illness, protect against disease and promote healthy lifestyles. Our staff of health professionals work together to provide programs, services and resources designed to create healthier communities and healthier residents.
