Indigo Health Clinic serves as a home for a variety of specialist physicians in New Westminster, British Columbia. Approximately 60,000 BC residents are infected with the Hepatitis C virus (HCV) and the incidence is highest in those born before 1965. Approximately 70% of those infected develop chronic infection and 1 in 4 patients do not know they have HCV. Therapy for HCV has evolved tremendously in the past decade and current therapies are much more effective and tolerable than those in the past. Our infectious disease specialists provide expertise in HCV eradication. We work with our integrated pharmacies to minimize barriers to care and maximize access to treatment.
