Since 2003, SOLID has been committed to providing support, education and advocacy to better the lives of people who use drugs. We are an organization of current or former illicit drug users in Victoria, British Columbia. We challenge personal and systemic injustice by promoting practical harm reduction strategies in our communities and our individual lives. We provide outreach to people who use drugs 7 days a week in the downtown area. Supports include providing harm reduction supplies for safer injection and inhalation, naloxone training, referrals and advocacy for health and social services, education on safer use, and recovery of discarded or used supplies. Outreach team is on the street every morning 7:30-9:30am, and Monday Friday nights 5:30-7:30pm.
