The AIDS Network - Grand River Community Health Centre (Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant Regional Office)

The AIDS Network is a registered charitable community-based organization that offers HIV-related support, education and harm reduction programs and services within the communities of Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand-Norfolk and Brant. All Services are strictly confidential. We will meet you where you are. We can provide support where it is convenient to you & you feel most comfortable. A coffee shop, your home, hospital or a confidential meeting space can be arranged. Meetings can be held throughout the region. We provide workshops, training, education and raising the awareness about HIV as well as presenting the most recent information about HIV. 1. Support Services Individual, family and group counselling for people living with HIV, affected and allies Support for people living with HIV, affected and allies Practical services including transportation for medical appointments Food security assistance Complementary therapies (accessible in Hamilton - transportation support if it is provided) Monthly peer support group Referrals and resources 2. Education and Training A variety of topics are available for service providers, service users and affected communities. They include: Agency Overview HIV 101 Stigma and discrimination Healthy disclosure Harm Reduction Positive Self-Management Program Peer volunteer training 3. Our Partners Grand River Community Health Center Brant County Public Unit Haldimand Norfolk Public Health Six Nations Health Services Special Immunology Services Clinic, Hamilton Health Sciences Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Program Brant Community Healthcare System Community members Our partners are also members of the AIDS Network Advisory Committee for the region of Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant. Committee members strive to create equitable access to health and social supports/services for populations vulnerable to and living with HIV/AIDS.
